I know its a word that all females hate... and believe me ladies i dont like it any more than you do... but as much as it pains me to ask... are we being forced to Settle?
It’s been a while since my last post… and a lot has changed… a lot except for the fact that I’m still single and growing frustrated of males in Dubai
Are my expectations of finding a decent guy too high?...
Have I been single that long that the dating game has completely changed?...
Should I just settle for what is available?...
No… absolutely not… I refuse to settle. Surely there is at least one half decent guy in Dubai… right????
I thought I came close – TWICE – over the last few months.
First there was the guy who I’d known for a while; a friend… until I realized that although he was a “friend” to me, I meant more than that to him!... Nice guy though so I figured there was no harm in keeping an open mind and see if any feelings develop. Fortunately for me, he was part of the same social circle; always at the same place at the same time with the same crowd, which made it easy. Unfortunately for me, the guy would only BBM me on a Thursday night to see if I’ll be out that night. Never heard from him during the week… So he stopped hearing from me at all!
What is it about spending time with a girl at a place where you can actually have a conversation that scares the male species?... I mean males like to eat dinner don’t they? … They like to go to the movies or have coffee... dont they? Well guess what Mr. Testosterone… SO DO WE!
Guy #2 – great guy… awesome to hang out with… really cute… hard working… doing very well for himself… not into partying... DOESN’T LIVE IN DUBAI!!!... typical!. Tried to stay in touch through BBM.. called me for Valentine’s day… but who am I kidding… I can hardly remember what the guy looks like now!
Ladies of Dubai…. GENTLEMEN OF DUBAI…. Whatever happened to traditional dating?
Whatever happened to taking a girl out to dinner?
Whatever happened to romance?
Whatever happened to a man going after the girl his heart skipped a beat for and making sure nothing gets in his way till he can proudly say to others “that’s my girl”?
Whatever happened to men with balls?
Whatever happened to heterosexual men?
Are there any left out there?
Are meterosexual men our only choice?
I just want a guy who will adore me but not call me adorable... a guy who will call me on Wednesday to make sure that he's part of my plans on Thursday instead of BBMing on Thursday night!
Well ladies... I refuse to settle... i will find my guy... and I hope that I'm a lot closer than I think!
